Virtual Housing Advocacy Workshop (with SPUR's Lori Droste)

| 6pm-7pm

About the Event

Get equipped. Send your first email. Pick your lane. A 60-minute virtual workshop on how to move San Francisco's housing legislation between now and the Board of Supervisors' final vote on July 21.

There's a substantial housing package moving through City Hall right now: an ordinance lowering the inclusionary requirement, reductions in impact fees, and a charter amendment expanding the Housing Trust Fund. The window to influence them closes when the Board breaks for August recess.

This workshop is how you get equipped. In 60 minutes, you'll:

Hear the policy in plain English from Lori Droste, Housing and Planning Director at SPUR

Get the state of the Board — where each of the eleven supervisors stands today

Send your first email to your supervisor live during the workshop — we'll walk you through it in real time

Pick the lanes you want to plug into: public comment at hearings, letters to supervisors, hosting neighborhood events, City Hall supervisor visits

Get connected to other housing advocates in your district

You don't need to be a policy expert. You need to be someone who wants more homes in San Francisco.

Hosted by Abundant SF, in coalition with the Housing Action Coalition and SF YIMBY. Policy brief by Lori Droste, Housing and Planning Director at SPUR.

Build more homes. For a San Francisco everyone can afford.
