Alan Wong
District 4 Supervisor
Alan stepped into his seat representing the Sunset at a contentious time and took a strong stance to support the Family Zoning Plan, which increased the potential for new housing in his District. He did this despite consistent opposition from political opponents that tried to use it to remove him from office. He has advanced common-sense reforms to make it easier to build in-law units and continues to advocate for streamlining reforms.
Alan currently represents District 4 on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. A lifelong Sunset resident and the son of immigrants from Hong Kong, Wong previously served as President of the City College Board of Trustees, a policy director at Children’s Council of San Francisco, a union organizer, and a legislative aide at City Hall. He has also served in the California Army National Guard since 2009.
