Matt Dorsey
District 6 Supervisor
Matt has been a strong pro-housing voice on the Board of Supervisors since taking office four years ago, supporting efforts to increase zoning and streamline housing production. He is ardently pro-transit and is a strong backer of the measures to save Muni and BART this fall. He has advocated for more bike lanes and other safety improvements in a district that serves as a key corridor for those connecting with Downtown.
He has focused on expanding access to parks and open space in the South of Market and Mission Bay areas and keeping those areas safe and livable, which is critical in representing neighborhoods with dense housing.
Matt currently represents District 6 on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. A longtime City Hall veteran, Matt previously served for 14 years in the City Attorney’s Office and as Director of Strategic Communications for the San Francisco Police Department.
