Theo Ellington

Theo has expressed strong support for the need for building more housing at all income levels. He is an ardent advocate for more transit in the southeast and across the City. As someone who is raising his family in the Bayview neighborhood where he grew up, he understands the importance of making our city more welcoming and available for today’s residents and the next generation.

Theo currently leads the Ruth Williams Bayview Opera House and previously served as a city commissioner, as well as Director of Public Affairs for the Golden State Warriors and Director of Homelessness Initiatives for The Salvation Army. Theo has been a longtime advocate for environmental justice in Bayview-Hunters Point. He is a father raising three children in the neighborhood where he grew up.
